The Company
My client, a publicly traded Japanese firm, has established their presence in New Zealand. The company, which operates in the heavy equipment industry, provides a comprehensive range of services, from sales to servicing. They utilize a mix of direct sales channels and service agents to operate across New Zealand.
The offices are located in Takanini, close to the motorway with parking on site and a team of circa 20 staff.
The Role
The role of Parts advisor will report directly to the parts manager and will be responsible for the following:
- Respond to customer enquires via email, telephone and in person.
- Assist customers to determine the correct parts needed, by reference to an on-line part manual.
- Interpret customer parts requirements.
- Prepare and provide quotes to customers
- Invoice parts to customers via dealer management system (DMS)
- Pick and pack parts if required supporting the warehouse staff.
- Proactively promote all parts commodity groups, to customers, ensuring parts sales budgets are met.
- Other ad hoc duties as required.
Your profile:
To be considered for this role we are looking for an individual with the following attributes:
- Ideally 2 years working in a service or parts customer service role
- Strong attention to detail & ability to drive improvements
- Strong communication skills and an ability to build relationships across the different departments to enable a service driven ethos
- An ability to understand how your role integrates into the business
- Strong systems ability
- An enquiring mind and problem-solving capability
- Be prepared to support all parts functions as required, including parts interpretation and warehousing.
- Experience working in an industrial parts or automotive industry would be an advantage.
