Job Description

One of our key clients is looking for a contract Data Migration Lead, initially on a 6 month engagement to establish their migration plan and strategy. This role will be responsible for leading data migration activities on large-scale projects and client onboardings. The successful candidate will have a strong practical understanding of technology and operations, working in close collaboration with IT and other key stakeholders.

What you'll do:

As a Data Migration Lead, you will play a pivotal role in developing, maintaining, and managing end-to-end Data Migration Strategies required for new client onboarding. You will understand different methodologies and differences within incumbent data. You will lay out plans on how we can complete the desired data activities to achieve our business/clients’ objectives. You will also describe the necessary organizational changes needed to maximize the value of its data activities.

  • Develop, maintain and manage end-to-end Data Migration Strategies for new client onboarding.
  • Understand different methodologies and differences within incumbent data.
  • Define how data will be mapped and internalized for Operations to meet business goals.
  • Lay out plans to complete desired data activities to achieve business/clients’ objectives.
  • Describe necessary organizational changes to maximize the value of data activities.
  • Establish a timeline for completing proposed activities, define milestones and priorities.
  • Provide input to location technical and business strategy discussions.
  • Direct and contribute to the development and maintenance of data governance standards.


What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Data Migration Lead position brings over 10 years of experience in data management and quality. Experience writing SQL Queries and working with SQL-Server Databases would be an added advantage.

  • 10+ years experience in data management (operational or project).
  • 5+ years experience in financial services - desirable.
  • Degree qualified in IT, Business, or related discipline; or relevant work experience in a similar role.
  • Experience writing SQL Queries and working with SQL-Server Databases would be valuable.
