  • You get $2,000 (gross) after your third successful trip if offered a Ticketed crew engagement.

As a referral candidate, you benefit from our "Refer-a-Mate" program with a few key conditions:

  • This program is exclusively for seagoing independent contractors, not Sanford employees (e.g., land-based team members)
  • You've passed all pre-engagement checks, including criminal history checks, drug and alcohol testing, medical requirements, and references.
  • You can be offered engagements on any vessel determined by Sanford.
  • You will receive your referral payment at the end of your third successful voyage if all performance standards are met and approved by the Vessel Manager.
