About the role

  • We’re looking for a seasoned Civil Estimator to join our team in Auckland. You will develop robust estimates from first principles and associated analyses including lifecycle cost plans, cashflows, subcontractor comparisons and historical benchmarking.
  • You’ll be producing consistent and accurate cost estimates for projects and coordinating the estimating process on a wide range of epic projects. On a daytime basis, you will lead the preparation of estimates, co-ordinate procurement inquiries and work with the team on estimate reviews.
  • Your reputable delivery and experience will be second only to your leadership qualities. You will be driven by client relationships that lead all parties to success.


This role can be based anywhere in New Zealand!

About You

  • An appropriate tertiary qualification and/or equivalent knowledge
  • Significant previous estimating experience ideally in roads and transport maintenance
  • Experience with PPP’s, joint ventures, consortia and or alliance projects preferable
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to confidently present work in internal tender reviews to secure approval from management
  • Strong experience in estimating software (Ventia uses CATS)
  • Financial modelling
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and external consultants
