Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior UX Specialist to join our team. As a senior member of the team, you will be leading UX efforts across various projects, spanning web, mobile, and custom applications. You will be the go-to person for design guidance, best practices, and creative problem-solving, ensuring strategic alignment and a high level of design execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead significant UX projects internally and with external partners.
- Execute UX design to a high level, innovating and evolving our craft beyond day-to-day design.
- Provide constructive feedback and critique that is useful and actionable.
- Communicate changes to seniors and groups, both good and bad news.
- Promote the team's brand internally and externally through expert communication and storytelling.
- Support diversity and inclusion, engaging with the wider whanau and fostering our community.

You will ideally be a self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills where your positivity and excellent communication skills enable you to share knowledge and learn from others while contributing to key outcomes.

- 7+ years of product design experience adopting HCD methodology
- Expert execution of the full UX toolkit, innovating and optimising how we work.
- Experience leading UX efforts in Agile project and squad environments.
- Ability to prioritise and lead multiple tasks and stakeholders at the same time.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills with a strong desire to share knowledge and influence others.
- Passion for detail with a desire to simplify complexity.
