Join a dynamic committed team at the forefront of health and safety leadership within the IHC Group, a prominent not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting people with intellectual disabilities. As a Senior Health & Safety Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in driving our health and safety agenda across our operations in the South Island, based either in Christchurch or Dunedin. Reporting to the General Manager, Group Health and Safety, you will lead, develop, and implement initiatives that enhance our safety culture, build capability, improve and test our systems, and support effective assurance and monitoring practices.
Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring
- Lead and support key workstreams of the IHC Group Health and Safety programme, fostering a proactive approach to risk management and injury prevention.
- Work closely with senior management and operational teams to build capability and confidence in health and safety practices, promoting a positive safety culture throughout the organisation.
- Showcase your extensive experience in health and safety advisory roles within large, complex organisations. You'll bring robust skills in leadership, risk management, contractor management, incident investigation, injury prevention and framework development.
- Hold a tertiary qualification in Health and Safety, along with professional registration (NZISM, IOSH or higher) and ICAM Trained (or similar). A full NZ Driver's Licence is essential.
