Due to incredible growth within the organisation we are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance Team based in Newmarket. Reporting to the Group Finance Manager you will oversee critical accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations.
This full-time position will suit a well organised, level headed accounting professional who is able to work in a high volume role that will supercharge their finance career.
Main responsibilities include:
Generate monthly P&L, Balance Sheets and Cash flow statements
Maintain fixed asset registers and calculate depreciation schedules
Month & Year end processes including balance sheet reconciliations, tax returns & monthly financial reporting to trial balance, reconciliation of intercompany balances
Oversight of Accounts Payable & Receivable processes
To be considered for this role you will have:
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting with a Professional Affiliation e.g. CA/CPA/ACCA
At least 10 years relevant New Zealand accounting experience with at least 5 years at mid senior level, preferably from within the Health sector
Computer literacy with advanced skills in MS Excel, Word & Outlook and a range of accounting software
Exceptional reconciliation skills
Strong numeric & analytical acumen with fast accurate data entry skills
Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to engage with colleagues at all levels of the organisation
The ability to work accurately and efficiently in a busy, high volume environment
