Job Description

About the Role

Solar Hub, a leading solar energy provider across NZ and the Pacific, is on the hunt for a creative, driven Marketing Assistant & Videographer. You’ll play a key role in growing the brand through compelling content — from filming customer installs to producing TikToks that actually get watched.

You’ll work closely with the Marketing Manager to plan, produce, and optimise digital content that builds awareness, drives leads, and tells powerful stories about sustainability. If you're keen to learn, ready to create, and love turning ideas into impact — this is your role.

What You’ll Do

  • Film and edit short- and long-form content across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and more
  • Create engaging marketing materials using Canva, Adobe Suite, and other tools
  • Tell real stories: spotlight installations, customers, community partners (like Auckland FC & the Blues)
  • Monitor content performance and help tweak strategies based on the data
  • Collaborate with Solar Hub teams across NZ and the Pacific
  • Stay ahead of social and video trends to keep the brand sharp


What We’re Looking For

  • A strong eye for content — whether through study, freelance work, or personal projects
  • Solid editing skills (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar)
  • Confidence behind the camera and a passion for storytelling
  • Organised, detail-focused, and a great communicator
  • Familiar with digital marketing platforms and social media trends
  • Bonus: experience with lighting/audio equipment or previous brand work
