Our client is seeking a Chef with either Hotel or Production experience, who can confidently lead a team.


Duties and responsibilities

  • Staff development - leading, coaching, and training staff under your direction to ensure ongoing skill development
  • Menu development - you will have input to the creation and development of specific menu items
  • Materials utilisation - ensuring that product wastage (from raw ingredient to finished item) is minimised and fully accounted for
  • Production results - meet the on-time and to specification performance for your team's production
  • Food safety and quality - ensuring all items produced meet the requirements of the food safety program and specifications
  • Health and safety - ensuring your team adhere to our health and safety processes and actively involving yourself in health and safety management
  • Labour utilisation - ensuring that your team is optimised to deliver the outputs within the labour budget


About you

  • Knows what it is like to work in a team environment
  • Excellent attention to detail in food preparation, presentation, and overall quality
  • Expertise in managing dietary and allergen requirements in all food delivery, ensuring the safety and satisfaction of all customers
  • Have the enthusiasm and drive to work in a busy kitchen
  • Are 100% reliable and can manage your own time
  • At least 1years worth of experience in a production kitchen or currently a chef now
  • Extensive knowledge in cookery
  • Weekend and shift work is essential
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Punctual and reliable
