Metal Construction Co. is a locally family owned and operated Fabrication / Engineering Company, with a traditional focus on light to medium Metal Fabrication and Site Installation.
We specialise in:
- All metal types - Stainless Steel, Aluminium, Steel, Corten, Brass, and Copper.
- Fabricating and Constructing - Bespoke Metalwork, Balustrades, Handrails, Sheet Metal Work, Lift Reveals, Light Structural Steel, Flashings, and General Engineering.
We're currently looking for a Project Manager to join our Management team working in Wellington and the surrounding suburbs.
Our ideal applicant will have 6+ years experience in Site/Project Construction Management, and preferably Metalwork Fabrication in General Engineering, Stainless Steel or the Aluminium Balustrade/Joinery Trade.
You will also need to demonstrate:
- Experience working on Construction and Residential sites
- Confidence with site measuring and able to read and interpret plans and technical drawings
- A Full NZ Drivers Licence
- Excellent Organisation, Scheduling, Planning and Time Management Skills
- Clear and fluent communication skills (written and verbal)
- The ability to lead and train others to deliver top quality
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Leading & assisting the site team to maintain an effective working relationship with the client through the use of on going communication and proactive construction management.
- Leading and promoting a proactive health and safety conscious culture.
- Assisting the Project Leads to ensure quality documentation is completed and requirements are met in order to attain and retain contractual requirements.
- Assisting the Project Leads to ensure all Health & Safety is prepared, submitted on time, and completed
- Assisting in the Tender Submissions and Processes.
- Assisting the Contract Manager in updating organisational policies
- Develop and Maintaining the Company Programme and Schedule, ensuring it is up to date, regularly reviewed, with all Project deadlines being met to the Contractual requirements and to a high level of standard
