Ko tō tūranga – your role
As the Senior Financial Analyst supporting NetCo (which includes the Technology and Data & AI portfolios), you will play a key role in delivering financial insight and analysis to drive cost efficiency, transparency, and informed decision-making across the operating cost base.


You will develop a deep understanding of the financial drivers within the technology and data landscape, partnering with business stakeholders & commercial managers to support accurate forecasting, budgeting, and performance management.


In addition to your core focus on operating costs, you will also work closely with the Finance Manager to support broader finance deliverables including wholesale revenue, contributing to the overall financial stewardship of the portfolio.

Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do

  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for the Technology and Data & AI portfolio
  • Own the month-end close process for NetCo, ensuring timely, accurate, and insightful reporting of financial results, including the integrity of the P&L and balance sheet.
  • Communicate month-end performance to key stakeholders, including analysis of variances, identification of risks and opportunities, and recommendations to enhance future performance
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand real-time performance impacts and support data- driven decision making.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support decision making or cost optimisation initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across Finance, Technology, and Data & AI teams to ensure alignment, transparency, and shared accountability.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in financial processes, tooling and reporting to enhance speed, accuracy, and insight generation.

  • 3 years + relevant business experience in a financial analyst, audit or similar role.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, with a strong grasp of financial principles and commercial drivers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear, compelling way.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficient in financial systems and tools (e.g. Excel, PowerBI, ERP systems, planning and reporting platforms), with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and processes.
  • Relevant university qualification (Finance / Accounting preferred)
  • CAANZ qualification preferred.
