Job Description

What You'll Be Doing | Mō te Tūranga

As a Technical Support Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring all NZTA vehicle certification requirements are met. Your responsibilities will include:

  • System administration, maintenance, and development for Mobility, including IT systems and projects.
  • Supporting new initiatives and driving continuous improvement to achieve business goals and growth of AA products and services.
  • Managing the Quality Management System (QMS) and aligning NZAA Quality Assurance systems for recording all certification activities to meet NZTA requirements.
  • Monitoring and maintaining NZTA regulatory information, ensuring staff access is up-to-date.
  • Developing and distributing technical bulletins for Entry Certification and In-service Certification.
  • Providing Vehicle Inspectors with day-to-day assistance and guidance.
  • Assisting with the development of policies and procedures.


About You | Mōu

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

  • Motor industry experience.
  • Experience in a strong customer service culture.
  • Experience with processes, systems, and ideally an appreciation of the vehicle-related services that the Association provides.
  • A relevant Trade qualification and experience with a minimum of Trade Certification in Automotive.
  • Knowledge of rules and regulations from NZTA and other regulatory bodies.
  • Strong organisational and planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A high degree of integrity and the ability to travel.
