Position:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Civil Operator to operate a variety of machinery on civil construction sites around Christchurch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a variety of civil machinery, including excavators, loaders, and rollers.
  • Assist with site preparation, excavation, trenching, and other civil works tasks.
  • Ensure safe operation and maintenance of machinery.
  • Follow all site health and safety regulations.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with supervisors and other team members.
  • Perform regular machine checks and report any issues to the supervisor.


Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • A valid Class 2 Driver's License.
  • WTR (Wheels, Tracks, Rollers) endorsement.
  • Proven experience operating civil machinery.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Reliable, hardworking, and flexible with working hours when necessary.
  • Ability to work on stayaway and nightshifts when required


Desirable:

  • Previous experience in civil construction projects.
  • First Aid certification.
