We're looking for team players to join our Operations Division at West – Cemetery & Crematorium.

This role is located at Waikumete Cemetery in West Auckland. You will be part of a passionate and experienced team who deliver services to our communities rain, hail, or shine. You will be part of a passionate and experienced team who deliver services to our communities’ rain, hail, or shine.

As a Sexton, you will need bring your A-game and team player attitude to roll with the team that does it all.

He kōrero mōu: About you
You will be assisting with burials, maintaining the cemetery grounds, adornment management, and other general grounds maintenance priorities. LUV, excavator, and tractor experience would be highly advantageous.

Being compassionate, reliable, a team player, along with good communication and proven organisational skills is essential to the smooth running of our facilities and services that we provide to the community.

Ngā āhuatanga kei a mātou: What we offer
You will be assisting families with parking, advising on any health and safety requirements and most importantly, ensuring families feel comfortable and are well attended to.

If you are looking to share some valuable hours helping families and supporting your community, this role is for you.

This is a full time role across a 7-day roster. Training, uniforms, and onsite parking are all inclusive of this unique role.

This role is deemed safety sensitive and in line with Auckland Council policy, you will be required to complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
