We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set and operate CNC Milling and Lathe machines. A person with experience, knowledge and drive to complete parts and jobs efficiently and to drawing is required.
To be considered you will need to have at least 3 years' experience in a similar role involving setting up jobs and programming CNC machines together with troubleshooting problems as they arise. Knowledge of engineering steels, heat treatment, metrology and CAD/CAM processing will be beneficial as the tasks involve looking after jobs end-to-end.
You will be required to:
Understand and interpret work orders and drawings
Programme, set up and load CNC Milling and Lathe machines
Verify settings and make adjustments as required
Prepare test runs and supervise machines
Inspect and measure finished goods and check
Work in a team efficiently and to high-quality standards
Follow instructions and get the work processed with minimal or no supervision
Be able to work under production deadlines
This is a permanent position working a minimum of 40 hours per week. An hourly rate of $35-$40 per hour will be offered to the successful candidate aligned with skills and experience. You will be based in our workshop in Tauranga.
