Permanent Fulltime Opportunity
Pay Rate - $45.00 per hour

A reputable civil engineering and construction company is seeking a skilled Drainlayer to join their Tauranga-based team. Specialising in infrastructure projects across New Zealand they are known for delivering high-quality work with a focus on safety, innovation and sustainability.

About the Role:
As a Drainlayer, you will supervise the installation and maintenance of drainage systems for water infrastructure projects. Key duties include overseeing pipe installation, trench excavation, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise drainage installations and ensure accurate alignment.
  • Perform trench excavation, potholing, and pipeline laying.
  • Lead and support the team to maintain high safety and quality standards.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental standards.


Skills and Requirements:

  • Registered Drainlayer with the ability to gain certification under the Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Board (PGDB).
  • Strong knowledge of construction procedures and health & safety practices.
  • Ability to interpret construction plans and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Leadership and organisational skills.
  • Basic numeracy skills (NCEA Level 2 Maths or equivalent).
