We're looking for a motivated and experienced individual to support our growing fleet in Taupō,with responsibility extending to Taumarunui and Ohakune.
This is a new role as a result of our nationwide growth!
The Role:
Work with our current service providers to manage maintenance and repairs.

Opportunity to upskill and train in EV technology.
Coordinate and manage third-party suppliers for overflow servicing.
Travel to Taumarunui and Ohakune (twice a month) to check on fleet, handle minor repairs, and liaise with local service providers.
Collaborate with operations to ensure the fleet is well-maintained and road ready.
Work Ute with service body provided.
Who are we looking for?
A senior Diesel Mechanic looking to take on more responsibility as we expand in the Taupō area. Someone wanting a mix of hands-on and supervisory work, with time spent managing maintenance rather than just being on the tools full-time.
Alternatively, this role could also suit someone who is looking to have less stress and more work-life balance - buses don't typically work the weekends and you'll be home at 5.
You will need:
Trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics (or equivalent experience).
Strong fault diagnosis and repair skills.
Willingness to train and upskill in Electric Vehicle (EV) maintenance. (we pay for the Mito course if this is of interest)
Ability to work independently and manage third-party service providers.
Full NZ driver's licence (Class 2 or higher preferred).
This is a great opportunity to step into a leadership role while still staying hands-on when needed.
If you're looking for a change and want to be part of a growing team, apply today.
We will be reviewing applicants as they apply. Applications close on 14 April 2025
Please note that Tranzit requires a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test, and you must be a NZ citizen/Permanent Resident, or have the entitlement to legally work in NZ to apply for this role.
