Join our team as a Food & Beverage Assistant at one of our Business & Industry sites in Penrose, Auckland. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences, utilizing your customer service and barista skills. With a proactive approach to safety and the utilization of all safety equipment and procedures provided by Compass Group. This is Permanent Part Time position

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

• Provide professional customer service with a warm, friendly, and welcoming style.
• Assist with preparing and presenting food, including portioning and plating for service.
• Maintain clean and tidy dining/kitchen areas, including cleaning tables, sweeping, mopping floors, and handling waste.
• Prepare and serve espresso coffee, including selecting, grinding, extracting coffee, and maintaining the espresso machine.
• Adhere to site food safety plans and ensure compliance with food handling standards.

He kōrero mōu / About you:

• Team player with the ability to work autonomously.
• Great communication skills and a flexible approach and attitude.
• Physically fit, reliable, and hard-working.
• Experience in a similar role and a valid Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate.
• Previous experience in a catering environment and NZQA Food Handling Certificate (Units 167 & 168) are desirable.
