He angitūtanga / The opportunity:

Join our team as a Catering Supervisor at Kristin School in Albany,Auckland, where you'll supervise daily operations and the performance of catering team members. This role ensures that all tasks associated with food production, front and back of house services, and general support are performed with due regard for Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations. This is a Fixed Term Full Time Position for 6 months.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

  • Deliver professional customer service with a warm, friendly, and welcoming style.
  • Supervise and allocate tasks to employees during shifts, ensuring high standards of performance and behavior.
  • Assist with preparing and presenting food, including portioning and plating for service.
  • Maintain clean and tidy dining/kitchen areas, including cleaning tables, sweeping, mopping floors, and handling waste.
  • Manage rosters, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts and addressing any staff issues or conflicts promptly.

  • Team player with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Good communication skills and a flexible approach and attitude.
  • Physically fit, reliable, and hard-working.
  • Experience in a similar role and a commitment to maintaining high standards of personal presentation.
  • NZQA Food Handling Certificate (Units 167 & 168) is desirable.
