Kiwi Adviser Network (KAN) is a financial advice provider (FAP) business based in Highland Park, Auckland. We help mortgage and insurance advisers in New Zealand run profitable and compliant businesses. Powered by Trail CRM, KAN gives financial advisers the freedom to let go of the administration burden to focus on what they do best - giving great financial advice.

We are currently looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. Previous experience in business development or sales is required, and while experience in the financial services industry is a plus, it is not mandatory.

You will be responsible for identifying prospects, qualifying them, and then having them commit to joining our services. This role provides guidance to the rest of the Sales team to help them achieve their targets. You will be accountable for the increase in the business's monthly recurring revenue and the Sales team's performance. You will be set with strong sales targets and will work with the guidance from management.

This will involve:

  • Running qualified prospects through sales demonstrations, via video calls and or face to face meetings.
  • Performing ongoing follow up and building relationships with clients from first contact through to commitment.
  • Identifying prospective clients and qualifying them, usually through a phone and video conversation.
  • Generating new prospects through referral calls to existing customers and lead sourcing.
  • Representing Trail within the industry by attending industry events.
  • Keeping our internal customer records up to date, including our CRM (Pipedrive) and invoicing. Notes should be thorough and contain any important details for both the handover to the Onboarding team as well as for future reference.
