About Us

Ngā Tamariki Puāwai o Tāmaki | Auckland Kindergarten Association (AKA) has been a leader in early childhood education since 1908. With 107 kindergartens and four KiNZ centres, we are committed to providing high-quality, inclusive early learning experiences that reflect the diversity of our tamariki (children) and their whānau (families).

At Waiheke Kindergarten, we place tamariki and their whānau at the heart of everything we do. As a Green Gold Enviroschool, we are passionate about sustainability, empowering tamariki to care for the environment while fostering curiosity, creativity, and confidence.

  • Support sustainability-focused learning, encouraging tamariki to explore and protect their natural world.
  • Quickly build positive relationships with tamariki, whānau, and the teaching team.
  • Bring energy, enthusiasm, and a hands-on approach to learning - be prepared for playdough, sand, paint, and mud!

What You'll Need

  • NZ ECE teaching qualification (or NZQA-assessed equivalent)
