The role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
This is a full-time role based in Puriri House, New Plymouth. You will be working Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5pm.
We’re looking for a Registered Health Professional – Social Worker, OT, or Registered Nurse preferably with experience in the Youth sector to join our Whetū Marewa service.
Whetū Marewa is a service that aims to build confidence, resilience and wellbeing in taiohi (young people), aged 12 to 24-years-old, who are living with mild to moderate mental health and addiction-related issues and social stressors. The mobile service has an outreach approach, providing support from registered health professionals and youth workers in schools and community clinics, and offering access to a range of supported interventions when needed.
You | Mōu
As a Clinician, you will be drawing on your experience in working with young people, and expertise from a range of treatment modalities to provide therapeutic interventions in supporting young people to build confidence, resilience, and well-being.
You will also:
- Have experience working in mental health and addiction settings or similar
- The ability to work well with other services such as DHBs, PHOs, and the wider community and social sector
- Full New Zealand driver’s license
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Ideally, you will have knowledge of the Health and Social Services sectors
- Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi
