As an important member of the Dev Solutions product management team, you will collaborate with cross functional teams to lead the success of Compass. Your role will help shape the future of collaboration for millions of platform and software engineers working with distributed systems and teams. This is a remote position.

What you'll do

  • Report to Head of Product for Compass
  • Vision: Inspire and energize the team by creating future product visions, sharing customer challenges, analyzing market trends, and making strategic decisions.
  • Leadership: Lead software teams to create value for customers and the business by iterating on functionality through experimentation.
  • Identify customer problems, highlight trends and deliver solutions quickly
  • Product Experimentation: Scope and define product experiments that improve organisational goals and customer outcomes
  • Execution: Oversee the entire lifecycle of ideas from idea to impact assessment and iteration.
  • Collaboration: Ability to collaborate with design and engineering to deliver delightful products. Work with teams across Atlassian to leverage and enhance platform capabilities.


Your background

  • Experience: 5+ years in Product Management with 0-1 products in the software engineering/DevOps market.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with engineering, APIs, integrations, and event-driven systems.
  • Market Knowledge: Familiarity with software engineering, DevOps, or IT operations markets.
  • Product Development: Experience in Agile, Software Development, DevOps, SRE, or developer-focused products.
  • It's great but not required if you have:
  • Education: BE/BS/BA with a focus on technology.
  • Community Engagement: Experience with developer communities, or open-source projects.
  • Technical Background: Experience as a software engineer, in platform engineering or developing internal tools for developers.
  • Enterprise Experience: Experience in enterprise-focused areas (B2B).



Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

  • Zone A: $162,000 - $216,000
  • Zone B: $145,800 - $194,400
  • Zone C: $134,500 - $179,300


This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
