Job Description

BestStart Faringdon East is on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated Teacher in Training to join our experienced, secure team. We are committed to providing high-quality early childhood education that supports the children and whānau in our community.

About the Role

We are looking for a Teacher in Training currently enrolled in a Level 7 ECE qualification (Bachelor of Teaching or Graduate Diploma in ECE) to join us in a permanent, part-time position (25 hours per week, Monday to Friday). What We’re Looking For

  • Current enrolment in a Level 7 ECE Bachelor or Graduate Diploma
  • A sound understanding of child-led, inquiry-based curriculum and planning
  • Knowledge of current ECE regulations, Te Whāriki, and a commitment to upholding high standards of compliance
  • A strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a commitment to bicultural practice
  • A passion for teaching and a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality education and care
