This is an exciting time to be joining our fisheries business as we have recently moved into a new state-of-the-art site in Porirua, focusing on the processing and suppling premium fish, paua and lobster to domestic and export markets.

Reporting through to the Operations Manager, Southern Region the newly created Account Manager role is a unique opportunity strengthen your capability and knowledge across sales, account management and people management.

With responsibility for up to 5 direct reports the Account Manager role is critical to driving growth and sales across the region. This is a hands-on role, working internally with the production and sales team to ensure customer orders are dispatched and delivered to customers on time and in full each day, providing exceptional service. You will manage both an existing customer base as well as securing new business.

Key Responsibilities:
• Accurately forecast, plan and deliver on supply and demand whilst providing and maintaining a high service level to our customer base with overall accountability for the daily administration within the domestic business
• Generating new business and customers within an allocated region and/or portfolio.
• Lead and manage retail outlets and sales dispatch for Wellington region
• Work closely with Production Supervisors and Managers, Harvesting, Operations and Group Sales team to ensure orders can be fulfilled, and issues are resolved in a timely manner
• Sales administration, invoicing and monitoring and managing customer requests

This position is a mixture of office, factory and field-based work.

You will have a minimum of 5 years sales and account management experience working for a fresh food or FMCG business. As a proven leader you will enjoy developing and managing a small team, whilst achieving ambitious sales targets and helping to grow a business.

Highly organised, with exceptional planning and prioritising skills you will need to have expertise in CRM systems; maintenance and development and be commercially savvy.

You will bring fresh ideas and insights on account management, while ensuring the Moana New Zealand brand and reputation is safeguarded with customers, suppliers and stakeholders.

No day is the same so be prepared to be on the go, juggle multiple priorities and collaborate with a wide variety of people. No job will be too small or big and you will be comfortable working with ambiguity, and nimble to last minute changes and redirection.

You must be living and legally able to work in New Zealand to be eligible for this role.
