Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Toolmaker to join the established Toolmaking team at Skellerup Industries. The successful candidate will be working in the fabrication and commissioning of machine components and tools for the manufacture of rubber products.

Skellerup Industries has a modern facility in Wigram and boasts over 150 injection moulding and extrusion machines, with in house tool and machine production.

Your role as a Toolmaker will involve:
Responsible for the ongoing maintenance of production tools, ensuring they remain in optimal working condition.
Machining and commissioning of new and modified injection moulding tools and machine parts
Monitoring critical fabrication tasks to ensure quality requirements are met.
Supporting product development design reviews by contributing fabrication expertise
Monitor equipment and processes ensuring they are running efficiently and safely

Skills and attributes required for this role:
Technically minded with the ability to think outside the box
Qualification in toolmaking, fitting and turning or 5+ years of proven experience in a similar role.
Experience with conventional lathe and milling machinery (CNC experience is advantageous)
MIG and Tig welding experience would be advantageous
Experience with using Outlook, Excel, Word and similar applications.
