We are currently looking for an experienced Structural Steel Welder to join a busy structural workshop in Christchurch. This could be an ongoing role for the right candidate.
Ideally, we are looking for a candidates that can commit long term, however we will consider applicants that only want short term work, including working holiday visa holders.
Key Responsibilities:
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
Weld in all positions MIG (Gas & gasless)
ARC Welding
Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality.
Be able to work in the workshop or on site
Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
Skills and attributes Required:
Ideally hold a trade qualification
Ability to work unsupervised and complete jobs from start to finish alone
Ability to fabricate accurately from drawings
A strong commitment to health and safety
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A strong commitment to Health & Safety
