Job Description

BestStart Whangaparāoa is looking for an experienced Qualified Teacher to join our toddler’s room. This is a great opportunity to be part of a supportive and dynamic team, working with toddlers in a busy and engaging environment.

About the Role:

This permanent, 30-hour-per-week role (Monday-Friday) requires a passionate teacher with experience working with toddlers and writing learning stories.

What We’re Looking For:

  • B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration/certification
  • Strong understanding of child-led curriculum, planning, and extending learning
  • Knowledge of ECE regulations, Te Whāriki, and compliance requirements
  • Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally responsive teaching
  • Passion for providing quality education and care
