We are looking for a Senior Credit Risk Analyst!
This is a great opportunity if you are looking to develop your analytical and statistical skills in a growth area of banking. You will also be a primary and trusted source of knowledge for our stakeholders and assist them with data and insight for an array of papers both to board internally and externally. You will also assist the wider team and gain exposure to stress testing, provisioning, and modelling.
Working alongside a team of passionate analysts, you will monitor and continually improve the Bank's strategies for optimising lending and account management decisions.
Data driven risk management is increasingly used within the banking industry, so there will be development opportunities to broaden and deepen this valuable skill set, as well as participate in projects to create new portfolio analytical tools and business strategies. You will get to work with other business units to help manage new growth initiatives and understand the key drivers relating to non-retail credit risk across the Bank.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) credit management, analytical investigation, portfolio performance reporting, data mining, as well as communicating your findings to senior managers of the divisions in your portfolio.
Ō pūkenga | About you:
- Proficiency in SQL/SAS and Tableau is advantageous. Experience working with databases and data management is required as well as hands-on data analytics experience (framing & solving problems, presenting results, recommending actions)
- Strong analytical skills (stating the problem; effective and accurate analysis; presentation of results and recommendations)
- Understanding of banking, originations processes and the retail lending market (home loans, credit cards, personal loans)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation (written & verbal)
- Knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, technology and information affecting the business and organisation.
