About the Role: In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the beauty of our gardens and lawns, ensuring they remain healthy, vibrant, and well-kept. If you have a passion for working outdoors and enjoy the satisfaction of seeing your efforts and bring a garden to life. This role requires prior proven gardening experience including watering, fertilising, potting, pruning, grooming, planting, plant knowledge and general maintenance, while demonstrating initiative, creativity and problem solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain Hobbit Hole gardens, including planting, pruning, weeding, fertilising, irrigation, and spraying.
• Mow lawns, weed-eat, and trim hedges.
• Care for vegetable gardens and containers.
• Assist with nursery tasks like sowing, potting, and irrigation.
• Support winter projects such as revegetation and landscaping.
• Complete tasks efficiently within set timeframes.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and contractors.
• Ensure safe work practices and report any issues to the Supervisor.
• Regularly maintain gardening tools and equipment to ensure safety.
• Advise the Garden Lead Hand on any concerns.

This Role Requires the Following

• A genuine interest in gardening and horticulture
• Previous gardening experience is a plus, but not essential
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks
• Knowledge of plant care and maintenance is an advantage
• A proactive attitude with attention to detail
• Full driver’s license essential
