He angitūtanga / The opportunity:

Join our team as a Chef de Partie at St Kentigern College in Auckland, where you'll prepare, cook, and serve high-quality food for customers, residents, or clients. This role requires ensuring all tasks associated with food production are performed with due regard for Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations. This is a Permanent Full Time position during school terms.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and present food, including assembling and preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, and portioning and plating food.
  • Maintain consumer satisfaction by ensuring personal hygiene and presentation standards are maintained and striving to exceed consumer expectations.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen premises, including sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning equipment, and handling waste.
  • Develop menus to meet special dietary and cultural needs, identifying requirements and evaluating meals and menus.
  • Assist with ordering and stock control, receiving and storing kitchen supplies, and ensuring supplies are rotated and maintained.


He kōrero mōu / About you:

  • NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Cookery or equivalent.
  • Previous experience cooking in a similar environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive outlook and professional manner.
  • Team player with the ability to work autonomously and a flexible approach and attitude.
  • Good communication skills, hard-working, physically fit, and reliable.
