An opportunity has arisen to work as a Library & Council Service Assistant in the Rodney Local Board Libraries, based at Mahurangi East Library (Snells Beach).
Mahurangi East Library is a coastal community library serving a diverse and vibrant community that is growing fast. Our library whānau is focused on caring for each other, our community, and our environment.
We are looking for a flexible all-rounder to join and contribute as part of a high-achieving, high energy, cohesive, and dynamic team. You will be supporting the team and contributing to the day-to-day running of the library including the facilitation of some programmes. As this is a customer service role, you will be supporting customers from all walks of life and across all three Rodney Local Board libraries.

Your natural ability to relate well with people of all ages and backgrounds, excellent communication skills, and strong digital skills will ensure that you are able to successfully engage with our customers and provide excellent customer service. You are eager to learn new skills, enjoy serving customers, and you thrive in a busy work environment.

- Has knowledge/understanding of Te Ao Māori or willingness to learn.

Salary Band D, we would be looking to appoint the successful applicant at a salary of between $50 - 65k, depending upon experience
