Ko tō tūranga – your role
This is a 6-month fixed term contract to support daily HR activities while others across the People Function are supporting a number of key projects.
You will work closely with the HR Business Partner and Heads of People Partnering team to deliver generalist HR activities to the business.
You will drive the best possible end to end employee experience, supporting capability uplift by coaching people leaders and ensure that people leaders abide by One NZ policies and employment law when it comes to managing employment relations and restructures.
Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do
- Provide expert advice and case management of complex employment relations issues
- Work closely with the winder people team to manage escalated employment issues as required
- Complete required HR administration tasks as needed
- Work with the business to identify change requirements, manage and implement change processes in collaboration with wider people team
- Support the development and delivery of large People projects or programmes of work which link to key people strategies
- Partner when required with sub-functional business units or with partners/subsidiaries
- Process Improvement: continuously improve processes to support people leaders and employee experiences
- HR Policy updates – ensure HR policies are up to date and fit for purpose
- Coach people leaders to continuously develop their leadership capability and performance
- Support Head of People to drive and deliver employee processes

- Sound understanding of and practical knowledge of employment legislation
- Exposure to and having supported on restructures/change management
- Strong coaching skills and experiences

- Support teamwork and create team spirit
- Demonstrated resilience through periods of change
