Job Description

Ko wai mātou – About us
Kia ora. We’re Foodies. You know New World, PAK’nSAVE and Four Square right? That’s us!
With 300+ stores and over 24,000 Foodies across Te Ika-a-Maui, our North Island Co-op has the privilege of helping New Zealanders get more out of life. Locally owned, we reflect the communities we serve, and we celebrate our people - our taonga, every day for being uniquely them.

Our Support Centre is 1,000+ people strong, which includes 300+ IT employees, who all play a vital role in ensuring the cogs of our Co-op stay turning and our systems stay ‘byte’-sized and ‘bug’-free.”

Te Tūranga – About the role
At Foodstuffs North Island (FSNI), we’re redefining digital experiences for millions of Kiwis. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of our Agile Delivery Squad, ensuring our mobile apps exceed expectations. You won’t just test—you’ll innovate, automate, and elevate our quality standards. As part of the FSNI QA Practice, you’ll shape best practices and push the boundaries of what’s possible in testing. Ready to make an impact? Let’s build something amazing together!

What you’ll do

  • Own the quality – Collaborate with your squad to embed excellence at every stage of development.
  • Think beyond testing – Design and execute high-impact test plans that tackle complex business and technical challenges.
  • Automate like a pro – Build and enhance cutting-edge test automation frameworks, driving an automation-first mindset.
  • Be a quality evangelist – Lead improvements, influence best practices, and drive innovation across FSNI’s QA Practice.
  • Deliver seamless experiences – Identify and resolve defects, optimize test environments, and proactively ensure flawless product releases.

If you’re passionate about pushing boundaries, pioneering new ways to test, and delivering world-class digital experiences, we want to hear from you!
