The Role

Based at our Gisborne branch, the Day Operations Supervisor supervises our Freight Handler team in the loading/unloading of freight trucks and containers, and the sorting of customer freight. Assisting in staff rostering and monitoring team performance, the Supervisor will exhibit strong dedication to Health and Safety at all times, and with a hands-on approach ensure the cleanliness and efficiency of our depot. You’ll work with the broader management team to ensure service standards are met and exceeded and be a key driver in getting our customers’ freight to where it needs to be!

This is a fulltime role, working Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm.

Key responsibilities include

  • Building team cohesion and performance
  • Assisting the Distribution and Branch Manager (both based in Napier) with ensuring Health and Safety processes are followed
  • Working alongside the team on the floor to ensure inbound and outbound freight is sorted
