He angitūtanga / The opportunity:

Compass Group NZ are looking for exceptional Casual Coordinators Operational Support (Drivers) to work at our MoE School Lunch Dispatch Centre in Auckland.

A Coordinator - Operational Support has a daily responsibility of the physical delivery of product to multiple customer sites whilst also being the 'face' of the Compass Group brand for those wonderful customers. On time delivery of product using supplied vehicles, problem solving, physical activity and an ability to foster and grow robust customer relationships are all essential requirements of the role.

Hours of work are on "as and when required" basis upon business needs, during education terms only. You will have normal working hours in accordance with the roster during the term time only. You may be offered additional hours of work during term breaks.

Our operation is 5 days a week, you must be available to work a rotating roster, Monday to Friday.

It would be beneficial if you are available to start immediately.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

  • Ensuring vehicle's safety checks have been completed, including attending to the fueling, maintenance and cleanliness thereof
  • Pickup and Loading of meals including packing, labeling and sorting at site
  • Monitoring meal temperature and reporting delivery discrepancies
  • Delivery of meals, ensuring driving restrictions are adhered to within required time frames
  • Engaging with the customer liaison and other staff, and students on occasion, in a professional and courteous manner to potentially find a solution to issues raised
  • Communicates any feedback to manager promptly and ensures that the feedback provider is kept informed on their feedback progress
  • Drop off and pick-up of Cambros to and from assigned locations
  • Taking appropriate actions when concerned around food safety and informing manager prior to taking actions
  • Reporting of any accidents, incidents or other events that occurred during the delivery of meals
  • Carry out maintenance program for all vehicles
  • Being the 'face' of Compass Group and the 'voice' of the Customer, building a positive relationship by communicating positively and regularly with the key customer contacts at each site

Our ideal candidate;

  • will have a valid, current & Full Class 1 New Zealand Drivers Licence
  • will have a clean Police Criminal Background check
  • will be physically fit and active as role requires multiple stops on a strict timeline
  • will be reliable
