He aha te mahi? What's the role?
Based in our Mount Maunganui Head Office, we are looking for a Business Analyst to enable Zespri’s growth journey acting as guardians of value in efforts to discover new digital solutions. The primary purpose of the Business Analyst role is to provide the “glue” between the Business, Change Team and Technology Teams. They are responsible for identifying and documenting current state and then working with the business, the wider Solution Delivery Team and vendors to identify and document future state including requirements. The Business Analyst will work closely with other members of the digital team and business subject matter experts to enable the business users to perform their roles efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Identifying, monitoring and reviewing the objectives and key results for the business unit and the upstream/downstream functions to drive prioritization decisions for digital initiatives.
- Ensuring: i) strategic alignment, ii) generation of business value, iii) adoption of lean-agile practices, and iv) availability of capacity.
- Eliciting, analysing and documenting business requirements.
- Developing scenario models & capturing metrics to support decision making.
This will be accomplished through:
- Establishing business relationships with the respective functional units within Zespri
- Creating detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions
- Working with functional units to translate and simplify their requirements
- Conducting analysis and research on their business problems
- Assisting with the introduction of solutions to the respective business unit
- Designing, implementing and supporting business application software
Core Responsibilities
Business Engagement
- Build relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate and enable optimal levels of solution design input and application management support.
- Be a consultant for Internal Stakeholders, providing global business process guidance and advice with regards to the relevant core systems and supporting systems.
- Facilitate a collaborative environment where ideas and viewpoints can be tabled, discussed, and recommendations made to management.
- Contribute to relevant application governance forums, (e.g. Technical Design Authority and Design Integration Forum) and solution roadmaps when required.
- Effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
- Work with the business representative(s) and/or stakeholder(s) to ensure there is consensus regarding the scope and requirements of solution deliverables.
Business Analysis
- Leading and facilitating stakeholder workshops and interviews to feed into business requirements, pain points and potential solutions.
- Perform cost-benefit, and return on investment, analyses
- Gathering and analysis of data to support decision-making and identify trends and insights.
- Documenting current and future state business processes to allow the streamline of operations and enhance efficiency
- Overseeing the implementation of processes and solutions to ensure they meet the business needs.
Continuous Improvement
Work with the business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and suggestions from team members and stakeholders.
Ko wai koe? Who are you?
We are looking for a strong communicator who is able to analyze user requirements and translate them into business processes. You will have a strong background in designing and facilitating workshops and is able to empathize with user business needs. You will also possess the following:
- Supply Chain Experience or Food Safety Quality Experience
- Strong understanding of the different SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile etc.) and the ability to work in any of the respective approaches.
- Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices
- 2 years ERP experience, ideally SAP ERP
- Knowledge of agile and design thinking methodologies (desired: minimum 1 year of experience working with these methodologies or certification in SAFe)
- Experience with Signavio
- Experience in the delivery of Cloud Based Solutions (e.g. Success Factors, C/4HANA etc) and other non-SAP best of breed solutions
