Mō te tūnga | About the role

Your role will be to work alongside people with a disability or long-term health need, who are seeking paid employment and/or looking to leave school into the next phase of their lives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working one-on-one with people with disabilities or long-term health need to seek employment
  • Working with young people with disabilities planning to leave school and seeking assistance on navigating the next steps
  • Establishing and maintain positive relationships - with the people choosing our services, your colleagues, potential employers, local community and other social and disability services



Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring

  • Level 5 qualification or above (essential)
  • Empathy for others and a passion for supporting people with a disability or health need
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships with employers and community support networks
  • Written and verbal communication skills to support engagement, rapport building, and advocacy
  • Ability to motivate, work independently, and a willingness to learn
  • Resilience to continue to establish desired outcomes when things may not go to plan
  • Clean NZ Full Driver's License, with the ability to travel as required
