As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a motivated and organised Accounting Assistant to join our vibrant finance team and help us maintain smooth and efficient financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily bank account reconciliations and tender allocations to ensure sales and bank clearing accounts are reconciled.
Process weekly and monthly staff incentives and posting journals in MS Navision
Posting weekly & monthly payroll wages journals in MS Navision
Assist the Accounts Payable team with processing invoices and other tasks as required.
Generate and issue monthly intercompany invoices
Manage landlord sales reporting and communicate relevant sales data to landlords via email.
Review and process staff credit card journals after thorough review.
Assist with processing month-end journals
Assist with the preparation of FBT, GST and related filings.
Fixed asset preparation and assistance with register maintenance
Assist with Balance sheet reconciliations and other month-end related tasks as needed
Various other administration functions as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven technical skills in Bank and Balance Sheet reconciliations
A minimum of 5 years in accounting or finance roles, preferably within the retail or fashion industry.
Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving attitude.
Strong team player with a can-do attitude with a mature attitude.
Quick learner.
Working knowledge of MS Navision or similar accounting software highly desirable.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
A passion for fashion and a keen understanding of the fashion industry is a plus!
