Due to internal promotion, an opportunity has now become available for Head of Pricing - which manages the pricing strategy and related operations for the Personal Banking portfolio.

Te Tūranga | The role:

Reporting to the General Manager Product, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance and optimisation of pricing strategies with particular focus on home loans and deposits. You will drive the achievement of financial and customer experience targets and own the deployment of discretionary pricing across all distribution channels. As a member of the Product Leadership team, you will contribute extensively to the broader product strategies, forge key relationships with Finance and Treasury to understand the external landscape and ensure the alignment of pricing strategies to our key product lines.

You will also drive the operational aspects of published and discretionary pricing everyday via a team of eight, providing direction, clarity and guidance.

This is a significant and high-profile role with considerable impact on ASB's financial performance. Consequently, significant commercial and business acumen and proven experience driving commercial outcomes within banking/investments/consulting is crucial. The ability to quickly establish credibility and interact confidently with senior and external stakeholders is paramount. We are looking for an inspiring leader who deeply understands the commercials of personal products and has the ability to define and execute on a strong strategic pricing plan that balances competing interests across profit, balance growth, customer outcomes and reputation.
