Mo te tūranga | About the Role:

We have exciting opportunity for 2 Compliance professionals to join our Compliance and Conduct team at ASB on a fixed term / secondment basis. As a Senior Manager in the Compliance and Conduct team you will support the Personal Banking division to comply with law, regulation and internal policy, including advising on new initiatives and ongoing BAU compliance activity. One role will provide general compliance support (some lending compliance knowledge would be valuable), while the other role requires experience in financial advice compliance.

You will work closely alongside other teams within the broader Personal Banking Risk team, including those who support the division from a CCCFA and AML compliance perspective, as well as on operational risk matters. Working collaboratively within and across all lines of accountability, you will support the business units within Personal Banking to achieve their business objectives in a better, sooner and safer way.

7-10 years compliance and/or legal experience.
Strong knowledge of legislation relevant to Personal Banking.
Positivity, confidence and resilience under pressure
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to explain complex technical information to non-subject matter experts
Ability to take ownership of complex tasks and deliver to agreed outcomes while keeping stakeholders appropriately engaged
Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills that can be deployed to quickly identify issues and proactively drive solutions
Experience in Compliance/Operational Risk Frameworks
Proven ability to assess impact of regulatory change on an organisation and support implementation of change initiatives
