Due to internal movements, we are looking for an experienced People and Culture Consultant on a 12 -month fixed term basis to join the team and provide outstanding HR generalist advice and support on people policies and practices.

Te Tūranga | The Role:

Reporting to the Head of People Business Partnering, you will be responsible for assisting and supporting the design, delivery and implementation of operational and tactical People solutions for your business units. Providing expert guidance and support to managers and employees on a wide range of complex People matters, ensuring we follow correct procedures, mitigating any legal risks, and considering individual needs.

Planning and supporting cyclical people and culture activities, including annual performance and remuneration cycles, moderation and talent and succession planning.

Additionally, you will be given operational people assignments to manage, such as assisting with restructures, disciplinary action and advising on routine operational people issues.

We are looking for someone who has deep understanding of People policies, procedures, and best practices, as well as exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

If you're the type of person that partners well with people and leaders, has strong communication skills, and a knack for navigating your way through ambiguity ensuring tailored solutions are delivered then this role is for you:

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in People roles, with a focus on employee relations and advisory services.
  • Thorough knowledge of People principles, practices, and employment laws, with a deep understanding of current trends and best practices in People.
  • Proven experience in conducting complex investigations and resolving complex ER issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyse data, identify trends, and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and other HR-related software applications.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic corporate environment and adapt to changeing priorities and business needs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
