Te Tūranga | The role:
This role offers the opportunity to be part of a high-performing team in influencing the future regulatory environment for the bank and managing ASB's relationships with key external stakeholders.
- Reporting into the Head of Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs you will develop and maintain regulatory risk governance and reporting framework. Liaise with counterparts at CBA Group and other subsidiaries to align on regulatory risk reporting and governance processes, draft and review regulatory reporting to ASB's Board, Executive Leadership Team and risk committees as needed.
- You will Build and maintain open and transparent relationships with ASB's primary regulators, monitor all responses to regulators to ensure all commitments are achieved in a timely and efficient way.
- Sustain high quality reporting of regulatory interactions, decisions and emerging risks across the business, regulatory reporting, regulatory risk governance and reporting framework and data quality control.
- Maintain register of commitments to regulators and provide verification processes for signing off completion of commitments.
- High quality drafts for Board, ELT and Risk Reporting

- We are seeking an individual with experience in New Zealand Financial Services or with New Zealand government and Parliamentary processes, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Risk, Compliance or Governance experience preferred, proven relationship management skills and demonstrated critical decision-making abilities.
- At this level, advanced communication, prioritisation and planning and skills are essential as well as relevant tertiary qualifications in law, finance or commerce.
- Having the strategic agility to anticipate future trends and big picture impacts is also desirable.
- If you relish the prospect of getting to grips with new and diverse subject matters and being at the cutting edge of a rapidly changing regulatory landscape, this critical and varied role is for you.
