Ara Whiwhi Mahi | The Opportunity
Mahere me te Mahi, Planning and Performance, works with partners across the Enterprise and Customer and Compliance Services (CCS) to support the prioritisation, delivery and performance of Inland Revenue's (IR) strategic work and change work programmes.
Our planning team concentrates on strategic planning for CCS, developing multi-year plans with a starting point of 18 months. Our work involves closely partnering with CCS leadership to understand their vision and establish a strategic path that aligns with the enterprise's overall goals and direction. We provide tailored support and advice throughout the strategic planning process, helping CCS navigate different stages effectively to achieve their goals.
There is no typical day in integrated planning; the work we do and the way we do it is often changing. As CCS’s priority and planning environment shifts, improvements to planning frameworks are important. Our service offering and planning practices also evolve through this to ensure we provide the best strategic planning support for CCS.
In this role you will:
- Facilitate strategic business planning for CCS to support the achievement of priority work and outcomes.
- Influence and develop ideas which translate enterprise and strategic goals into tangible actions.
- Offer customised and reliable guidance and assistance throughout strategic planning processes.
- Design fit-for-purpose strategic roadmaps and plans.
- Advocate for good planning practices that achieve our desired results.
- Work in multi-disciplinary networked teams across all levels of planning; strategic, tactical and operational.
- Provide hands-on leadership, support and coordination to assist with key deliverables.
- Work across Planning & Performance to integrate risk, change, performance and reporting requirements.
- Communicate and promote CCS plans across IR, to align our efforts towards common objectives.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of planning frameworks and processes for CCS.
Please note, the internal role title is Domain Specialist (L2).
