Mo te tūranga | About the Role:
Reporting into the Head of Supplier Management, this newly created 12-month fixed term opportunity will provide expert advice and support to the ASB business community on third party and critical supplier risk management, driving the uplift of capability across ASB in the management of 3rd party risk:
- Work alongside ASB business and risk colleagues to continually improve ASB's 3rd party and supplier control environment to protect ASB, its customers and its people
- Embed ongoing supplier risk best practice within ASB through proactive engagement and excellent stakeholder management
- Support Third Party risk governance through insightful reporting and strategic thinking
- Apply my in-depth knowledge of key outsourcing regulatory requirements (e.g. BS11, BS17 and APRA CPS 230) to support business control uplift
- Provide leadership and guidance to my direct reports as the 3rd party risk capability is built and embedded within ASB
- Maintain an ongoing view of new and emerging risks impacting ASB's third party risk taxonomy

Have the ability and confidence to engage with a variety of stakeholders, including senior leaders, with excellent written and verbal communication skills to influence, negotiate, and disseminate key information effectively.
- Ability to engage and influence at senior management level
- Subject management expertise on supplier and 3rd party risk management
- A sound understanding of the banking industry and a curiosity to learn more
- Good knowledge of BS11, BS17 and other key regulatory areas impacting outsourcing at New Zealand's banks
- Proficiency in key reporting and analysis tools such as PowerBI
- Strong track record of continuous improvement
- Ability to lead and manage multiple deliverables while ensuring key stakeholders remain engaged and informed
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
