As a member of Sanctions Operations, you will help protect ASB and its customers from the impact of Financial Crime. You will contribute in a meaningful way to the protection of Aotearoa New Zealand from financial crime risk by ensuring ASB Banks compliance with various sanctions and financial crime obligations.
Te tūranga | The role
This is an entry level role with growth opportunities. You will be responsible for the initial triage of financial sanction related trigger events, such as customer and payment screening alerts and escalating these as required. You will be interacting with our valued customers and balancing exceptional customer service with the compliance obligations that the bank must adhere to.

First and foremost, you are passionate about Sanctions and Financial Crime, you have a naturally inquisitive and investigative mind and great attention to detail. You thrive working in a fast-paced environment, feel comfortable questioning things which don't seem quite right, and are able to articulate risk as it relates to Sanctions and financial crime. You will be committed to delivering unbeatable customer outcomes, be able to build credibility with your team, and be pro-active and confident in your ability to manage your day.
This is a fulltime position working 40 hours a week from Monday to Friday.
Although our team is based in Auckland, we welcome applications from candidates based outside of the region who can travel to Auckland when needed. Please note that full training will take place in Auckland, and candidates will be responsible for covering their own costs for it.
