Mo te tūranga | About the Role:
Reporting into the Head of Supplier Management, this role focusses on driving uplift across the management of Supplier Risk and leading a team in providing expertise, embedding the risk framework and improving capability within the ASB business community.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Supporting business owners and senior stakeholders in assessing and appropriately mitigating key risks associated with their Supplier services
- Developing systems and processes that are simple, effective and appropriate to support supplier risk management activities.
- Leading a team of risk professionals in the oversight and management of Supplier risks and the preparation of board-level reporting to meet regulatory obligations
- Overseeing the performance of controls supporting BS11 compliance including the maintenance of a compliant BS11 Compendium.
- Building trust and confidence with internal and external stakeholders.
- Leading the annual BS11 Compendium review, Triennial BS11 independent external review and any other relevant internal or external audit or assurance activity.
- Educating and advocating on Supplier and Third-Party risk management.

Have the ability and confidence to engage with a variety of stakeholders, including senior leaders, with excellent written and verbal communication skills to influence, negotiate, and disseminate key information effectively.
- A background in risk management with a strong knowledge of key risk areas including BS11, Technology, Cyber/Data security, Privacy and ESG.
- A good understanding of key banking operations, and technology dependencies.
- Strong technical acumen, SharePoint, Excel and analytical skills to produce meaningful data.
- Ability to work autonomously and under pressure, foster innovation, simplification & new ways of working, formulate pro-active solutions within delivery timeframes.
- Supporting tertiary qualifications.
