Job Description

Our client is at the top of its game within the industry with teams all over New Zealand and all being based out of Invercargill. They continue to go strength to strength and have partnered with Onestaff to find a number of Trade Assistants to work within their teams to complete up and coming work across Southland. We are after experienced Trade Assistants or proven experience as a reliable General Labourer within the Construction or Engineering industry.

As a Trades assistant you will be required to execute a range of Trade Assistant tasks associated with the job at hand. Some of those duties will include and not limited too

  • Confined Space
  • Working at Heights
  • Surface preparation for coatings application (Grinding, Sanding, Chipping, or Abrasive Blasting)
  • Coatings applications (Painting)
  • Basic Grinding
  • Ability to operate basic Power Hand Tools
  • Worksite Cleaning, (Workshop, Yard or site based)
  • Tasks as directed by the tradesperson
  • Work collaboratively with other departments of the Business.

You will need to have a minimum NZ restricted licence, be fit and strong and the ability to work at pace whilst maintaining a high standard of work
