About Us

BestStart Parkside is on the lookout for a dedicated and friendly Centre Administrator to join our vibrant, close-knit team. Our centre is licensed for 50 children and serves a diverse community near Hagley Park, close to the city and hospital, with onsite parking available.

We support children aged 0–5 across two rooms, maintaining high occupancy and a strong multicultural environment. Our 11-member team includes ECE teachers, caregivers, and a cook – all committed to creating a safe, stimulating space where children thrive. We partner closely with families and offer Healthy Heart meals, a large outdoor play area, and dedicated messy/wet play spaces.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced administrator who is warm, adaptable, and highly organised. Strong time management and excellent communication skills are essential. Flexibility to support in the classroom occasionally is a bonus.

Your responsibilities will include managing enrolments, responding to queries, handling parent accounts, and maintaining accurate records. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook is required. No two days are the same, so a proactive and positive attitude is key.

You'll receive full training and support from our National Admin Support team, including guidance on Ministry of Education requirements.

This is a permanent role, 25 hours per week (Monday to Friday). Times can be flexible for the right candidate, but we cannot accommodate school hours for this role.
