Job Description

As a Veterinary Software Consultant at IDEXX, you will be responsible for selling our cloud-based practice information management software (PIMS) & ancillary products to customers and prospects over the phone & virtually within the APAC territory.

Our sales professionals develop deep and meaningful relationships while offering solutions to meet our customer's unique needs. The primary success metric for this position is based on number of ARR bookings.

Here in Auckland, we develop a number of cloud platforms and applications. We’re building a vertical SaaS platform for animal health that requires significant technical expertise to deliver. Solutions for practice management (PIMS), diagnostics, payments, client engagement, analytics & insight plus many more. In the role of Veterinary Software Consultant:

  • You will be responsible for growing the Cloud PIMS business through driving sales of the Veterinary Software portfolio to both new and existing IDEXX customers.
  • You will develop, implement, and maintain territory and account development plans for the assigned APAC.
  • You will consistently strive to meet quarterly & annual quotas.
  • You will maintain Salesforce with accurate customer notes and opportunity information.
  • You will coordinate sales opportunities that span multiple IDEXX products involving multiple IDEXX sales representatives.
  • You will provide SaaS product demonstrations via webinar/demonstrations to prospective customers.
  • You will attend industry shows in APAC as necessary.


What you need to succeed:

  • 4+ years of sales experience with Software or Veterinary PIMS specific
  • Ability to negotiate and close sales with a consultative selling approach.
  • Capability to absorb and articulate technical information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to establish rapport quickly.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly motivated and goal oriented.
  • A Multitasker - you'll need to perform a range of tasks under competing demands and deadlines.
  • Computer proficiency (Salesforce, Microsoft Office: Teams, Excel, Word and Outlook).
  • Happy to work 6am - 3pm
  • Willing and able for occasional domestic & international travel
